From the moment I could hold a pencil, everything and anything that could be drawn on was…drawn on!

ABOUT

Through art, I find I can connect the dots all around me, find inner peace and, ultimately, gives me a sense of human purpose.

My passion for drawing was triggered at a very young age – I somehow just knew that I wanted to be able to bring my mind and hands together in an artistic expression. From a very young age I would draw on anything I could find, from the edges of newspapers to the margins of books. I have never stopped doodling since. Twenty years ago, a new medium of expression opened itself up to me – photography.

Much like drawing, photography offered me a way to capture and interpret the world through my mind, my eyes and my lens. I fell in love with the process of freezing moments in time, preserving the beauty of life in each click of the shutter. Photography allows me to combine my love for visual detail with the spontaneity of capturing moments in real-time, and it has become an enriching endeavor that complements my drawing well, as both require an acute sense of observation, a deep appreciation for detail, and a compelling narrative.

These twin art forms—drawing and photography—are not just hobbies; they are what make me tick, what keeps the fire of passion alive. My journey in both fields has been one of continuous learning and unending fascination.

On a personal level, I currently live in Wild, Wet, Windy, West Wales with two cats and two dogs – the dogs being perfect companions for photography as we go walking and exploring together with camera in hand.

I have a gorgeous family, including a few grandchildren, all of whom I adore and who I am seriously proud of.

I have a deep, very internal spiritually religious life and feel that I have been very blessed in this life in so many ways. I hope that this appreciation of life shows through in my art.
